If you missed the National Stamp Out Hunger event last weekend, you still have a chance to make a real impact in Hernando County. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Brooksville is hosting United Way’s Drive Out Hunger Event this Saturday from 2 till 4.
John Kelly will be there broadcasting live. We’re helping to support local families facing immediate need due to recent budget cuts. The best items to donate are non-perishable, nutritious, and shelf-stable foods. Bring things like peanut butter, canned chicken, and canned tuna. Other high-priority donations include canned soups, stews, beans, pasta, rice, and healthy breakfast cereals. Really any food you can give is greatly appreciated because when our community shows up, it makes a big difference.
We’ll be grilling up hot dogs, handing out ice-cold drinks, and giving away free prizes to those who donate. We’re giving away an inflatable kayak as a grand prize, plus pool floats, and restaurant gift cards.
We will see you at CDJR Brooksville during the United Way’s Drive Out Hunger Event this Saturday from 2 till 4. It’s on Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville just west of the Suncoast Parkway.
