Earth Day 2021 Was an AMAZING event!

Pasco Parks & Recreation, Covanta Pasco, Pasco Cooperative Extension, Keep Pasco Beautiful and Pasco County Recycling celebrated Earth Day 2021 at Crews Lake Park located off of Shady Hills Road.

This is a free event was fun for the family. There were children’s crafts, and educational displays. Everyone learned how to recycle in Pasco County. Lady bugs were released, and confidential documents were shredded by Shred 360. Informational workshops about Rain Water Harvesting and Composting were presented for those who registered. Also, electronics recycling, mercury collection, and household hazardous waste collection was on site.

Visitors had a chance to meet Spike, the 10-foot alligator from Croc Encounters and the folks at Owls Nest Sanctuary for wildlife, shop the native plant sale and visit the upcycle vendors.
